It has been a busy 6 months at Douglas Developments as construction continued in Waterford! We have officially gone from a big pile of dirt to the beginnings of a new Chestermere community with sidewalks, roads and some homes already finished framing, thanks to the hard work of our builders and a historically warm fall. We expect our first residents to move in Spring of 2021 and we couldn’t be more excited! It is truly amazing to see an empty piece of land turn into a community that 100’s of families will call home, and that is why we love what we do.
Phase One Showhomes are well under-way, with an anticipated launch in late Spring 2021. Until then, a temporary sales centre will be ready for visitors in February 2021; make sure you are registered for updates! While our Builders work on both Quick Possession and client homes, we at Douglas Developments are working on shallow services (this is the services that go from the street to each individual lot!) and finalizing the community’s landscaping so we can hit the ground running in the Spring! We have also eagerly started planning Phase 2 of Waterford.
The landscape plan is progressing really well and includes outdoor gym equipment for adults and a playground for kids, in addition to a convenient walking path around the pond, perfect for active families! Waterford is directly next to the canal pathway as well, where you can bike, roller blade, walk or run right into Calgary. Or you can head in the other direction to easily access the south end of Chestermere Lake.
